Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Childcare Study in Indonesia - Indonesia Gender PASA. Indonesias uneven childcare provision misses an opportunity to bring a double dividend through higher levels of female labor force participation and long-term human capital development. This activity will conduct primary research using a national household survey to understand the work-care nexus for women's economic empowerment and children's wellbeing in Indonesia. The survey will capture the factors driving or constraining demand for childcare services, including social, cultural and economic factors, social norms, quality and safety standards expected by families, and the role of domestic workers, informality and intra-household distribution of work. The survey will be complemented with qualitative data collection with key stakeholders, including childcare service providers, beneficiaries of childcare services, and members of government and civil society.
