Expression of Interest are invited for Diagnostic of the Carbon Market in Indonesia. Issue Date and Time: Jan 22, 2024 12:48 Closing Date and Time: Feb 05, 2024 23:59 The Objective of this Assignment is to Perform a Diagnostic Study of the Carbon Market in Indonesia to Detail the Current State of Play including Deep Dives into:a) Different Sectors and Value Chains and Their Potential for Generating; Trading and Leveraging Carbon Credits; B) Key Stakeholders in the Market; Their Knowledge and Current and Planned Initiatives; C) Key Drivers of the Supply and Demand Side for Carbon Credits; D) Key Enacted and Planned Regulations for the Functioning of the Market; Along with an Analysis of Major Gaps and Bottlenecks; And E) Analysis on How to Unlock Indonesia-S Carbon Market Potential to Contribute to Net Zero Objectives. This Assessment should Also Cover Current Knowledge of Carbon Finance Markets within Indonesia-S Financial Sector; Major Pain Points of Leveraging Carbon Credits as Well as Opportunities for Fis to Use Carbon Credits for Financing across Different Sectors. The Diagnostic Study should Include a Benchmark against Best Practices in Peer Markets Where Carbon Finance Markets are Already Developing/Developed; With Recommended Areas of Support/Development for Indonesia. Finally; The Diagnostic should Highlight the Potential Areas of Support and Investment Opportunities for Ifc/Wbg and Other Development Actors. The Wbg Reserves the Right to Publicly Disclose Contract Award Information, including but not Limited to, Name of Company Receiving the Award, Brief Description of Services, and Contract Award Amount, for Any Contract Award Valued over Us$250,000.
