  • Expression of Interest are invited for Gender Baselining in the Indonesian Financial Sector. ยท Issue Date and Time: Nov 13,2023 05:39 ยท Closing Date and Time: Nov 27,2023 23:59 The Objective of this Assignment is to Design and Undertake Research on Gender Dynamics in the Financial Sector in Indonesia. More Specifically; The Goal of the Study is to Conduct a Detailed Gender Baselining Analysis of a Sample of Local Financial Institutions. The Selected Consulting Firm will be Required to Develop a Structured Methodology on How to Undertake the Assignment. The Study should Consider the Indonesian Financial Sector through Ifc-S Gender Approach; Considering Women as Leaders; Entrepreneurs; Employees; Consumers; And Community Members within the Sector. Through a Rigorous Methodology; To be Developed by the Consulting Firm with Inputs from the Ifc Project Team; The Study is Expected to Achieve the following Objectives:*through Secondary Research; Map the Current State of the Financial Sector and Understand Future Trends; And Key Players of the Sector; Including its Supporting Ecosystem and Any Regulatory Implications; Through the Lens of Ifc-S Gender Approach; As Well as Specific Consideration about Local Socio-Cultural Dynamics. This Secondary Research should Also Include an Overview of Women Owned Msmes; Their Sectoral; Size and Geographical Distribution; As Well as Challenges They Face; And the Financing They Need.*Profile the Selected Financial Institutions and Assess Their Operations through a Gender-Lensed Approach; Collecting Sex-Disaggregated Data from each Institution on Their Portfolio; Products; Human Resources; Leadership; Employees; Consumers/Clients; And Community.*for each of the Selected and Profiled Financial Institutions; Provide a) a Gender Baseline Profile of Their Status; B) a Comparison of Their Current Performance against the Anonymized Average of the Other Profiled Institutions; And C) Develop Recommendations including but not Limited to Areas of Market Opportunity; Options for Internal Policy Changes; Etc. *Identify Needs; Risks; And Opportunities for Financial Institutions in the Sector; Through the Lens of the Selected Gender Approach.*Assess the Gender Related Funding Needs of Financial Institutions and Their Readiness to Leverage Gender Use of Proceeds or Kpi Investment Instruments to Increase Gender Smart Funding Pool. Highlight Concerns; Challenges; Or Bottlenecks to Increase Gender Smart Financing. Review Legal and Regulatory Landscape to Understand the Requirements to Issue Such Instruments in Indonesia. Understand the Knowledge Resources Toolkits/Handbooks Needed by Financial Institutions to Leverage Such Gender Dedicated Funding Vehicles. The Wbg Reserves the Right to Publicly Disclose Contract Award Information, including but not Limited to, Name of Company Receiving the Award, Brief Description of Services, and Contract Award Amount, for Any Contract Award Valued over Us$250,000.
