Expression of Interest are invited for Integrated Corridor Development Strategy in Bandung Basin Metropolitan Area (BBMA) The World Bank is supporting the Government of Indonesia with the Indonesia Mass Transit Project (MASTRAN) which focusses on improving mobility and accessibility on priority corridors in select Indonesian cities. MASTRAN will support the development of a demonstration bus rapid transit project (BRT) in the Bandung Basin Metropolitan Area (BBMA). The proposed BBMA BRT corridor is parallel to the west-east city development axis; which operates on 14.23 km of segregated lanes and 3 km in mixed traffic. This assignment will provide technical support in developing a Corridor Development Strategy for the BRT based on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) principles and drafting a concept plan for improving non-motorized transport access to the BBMA BRT system. The strategy will include the identification of and recommendations for the needed regulatory and planning reforms; micro-initiatives; and supporting infrastructure investments needed for the BBMA BRT System to achieve its TOD goals; provide improved NMT access to stations and surrounding areas and thus ridership and financial objectives for the BRT corridor.The final products will include recommended policies and regulations; delivery approaches and detailed implementation mechanisms that will comprise the overall Corridor TOD and NMT-oriented strategy; and Corridor development maps as well as more detailed concept plans reflecting the strategy for selected pilots.
