Tenders are invited for Joint Research Program on Evaluating and Realizing the Value of Indonesia-s Forests This consultancy aims to: quantify select values of Indonesia-s forest ecosystems, provide policy recommendations to realize the values in economic and social terms, identify financing mechanisms for protecting and enhancing forest ecosystem values, and communicate lessons to government and other stakeholders.Knowledge Objectives:* Inform policymakers and other stakeholders of the type, quantity and distribution of key ecosystem services generated by Indonesia-s forest areas.* Inform policymakers and other stakeholders of approaches that can be used to realize ecosystems values (i.e., policy recommendations)* Inform policymakers and other stakeholders of financing options for protecting and enhancing the value of forest ecosystems, from both international and domestic sources.The consultancy-s findings will aim to inform operationalization of the FOLU Net Sink 2030 Operational Plan, inform amendments to the Conservation Act and the bill on Valuation of State Assets, and to inform an investment plan in the form of a GEF project to be financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). Key audiences for study deliverables are senior policymakers at MoEF and the Ministry of Finance, and the World Bank team. International donor partners and other stakeholders (NGO and general public) will also be an audience for some deliverables.
