Description:
The East Asia and Pacific GenderInnovation Lab (EAPGIL) is conducting an impact evaluation of an NGO project to improve childcare services in rural Indonesia that will measure how childcareservices affect children-s development outcomes and mother-s economicempowerment. The evaluation will also study whether childcare alone issufficient to boost women-s economic participation or if complementarylivelihood activities are needed to enable women to take advantage of reducedcaregiving responsibilities. This contract is for a survey firm tocarry out all aspects of a listing survey for the impact evaluation in a totalof 130 villages spread across 9 provinces in Indonesia (Aceh, NorthSumatra, West Kalimantan, Banten, Central Java, West Java, East Java,Yogyakarta, and West Nusa Tenggara). The listing survey will form the basis ofsample selection for the impact evaluation as well as help inform projectdesign, targeting, and outreach. The contract also covers piloting of theimpact evaluation-s baseline survey to help finalize the baselinequestionnaires.
