BACKGROUNDThe upcoming general elections in Indonesia provide an opportunity to reinforce advocacy on key policy issues affecting children and their families, and how these issues can be prioritized/accelerated to achieve the SDGs by 2030, most specifically those SDGs that are lagging.The new administration that will be elected in 2024 is the one that will present Indonesia-s progress in achieving the SDGs at the 2030 SDG Summit. In addition, the country-s 2045 ‘Golden Indonesia- vision outlines the country-s ambition to reach high-income status - and become the world-s 5th largest economy - over the next two decades. By then, Indonesia-s population is expected to reach over 300 million, with a projected GDP percapita at USD23,199.In this context, investing in children and young people as part of a focus on human capital is imperative to secure the country-s prosperity. PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENTThe selected institution will research and produce a series of up to 8 policy briefs focusing on child policy issues relevant to Indonesia-s achievement of the SDGs and related socioeconomic objectives.
