• IFC now seeks to hire a vendor to implement a smart monitoring system in up to 400 households in the main phase of this research project, following a subscription model and ideally based on the successfully tested Zigbee technology.The primary objective of the assignment is to deploy a reliable and robust smart monitoring system in up to 400 households in up to 12 different buildings within the Jakarta Metropolitan Area that can accurately measure:· Total household electricity consumption at the meter level;· Energy consumption of high-energy consuming appliances (e.g., air conditioners); and· Indoor environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) monitoring in three rooms (living room and two bedrooms).The system should be user-friendly for both the research participants (residents) and the in-country research team (UNSW and Universitas Trisakti staff), ensuring high-resolution data collection with minimal disruption of the residents- daily life. The system shall include an online data repository and a dashboard visualizing data collected through all installed sensors. Ideally, the system should be based on Zigbee technology that was successfully tested during the pilot phase. Further, IFC has a strong preference for procuring only the services and data through a subscription model offered by the vendor, rather than the technical equipment itself. In this preferred model, the monitoring equipment is owned by the vendor and not purchased by the IFC. The research team will access a secure, cloud-based dashboard and real-time data via a subscription service and purchases the vendors- technical services and data. The vendor outlines the subscription duration, pricing structure, renewal conditions, and termination terms in its proposal.
