  • Tenders are invited for Supporting Transformative Parental Engagement in ECE through the Utilization of ATs in Indonesia. Issue Date and Time: Jan 19, 2024 05:42 Closing Date and Time: Feb 01, 2024 23:59 In Indonesia; The Ministry of Education; Culture; Research and Technology (Moecrt) of the Government of Indonesia (Goi) Estimates that Nearly 30% of Children with Disabilities (Cwd) do not have Access to Education (Moec; Dapodik 2018). Out of Those Who Attend; Only 54% of Cwd Complete Primary Education; As Opposed to 95% of Their Peers without Disabilities. Cwd Account for Less than 0.1% of the Total Number of Children Enrolled in Early Childhood Education (Ece). Over 65% of Cwd Enrolled in the Education System in Indonesia are Those with Autism; Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (Adhd); Learning Difficulties (Ld); Intellectual Disabilities (Id) and Speech Impairment (Si). Globally; Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities Experience Higher Level of Distress than Parents of Other Children. In Indonesia; Parents of Children with Autism Face Discrimination against Their Children in Preschools and Communities (World Bank; 2023). Often; Cwd are Rejected at Enrolment or Discriminated against upon Enrolment. Parents Feel Unequipped to Fight Discrimination. An Analysis of Inclusive Ece in Indonesia; Which was Recently Conducted by the World Bank; Revealed Critical Challenges on Both the Supply and Demand Sides of Services to Cwd. Current Interventions are Often Designed following a Top-down Approach and Assuming that Parents- Demands would be Adequately Addressed. However; Parents Often Lack Knowledge about How to Properly Stimulate Their Cwd. Punishment of Children with Disabilities; Stigma; And Neglect are Still Observed. In this Context; A Transformative Approach to Parental Support is Required to Address the Mismatch between the Supply and Demand Sides; To Support Equitable and Inclusive Education for All in indonesia.the Objective of the Consultancy is to Prepare and Implement Three Components of the Project; Supporting Transformative Parental Engagement in Early Childhood Education through the Utilization of Assistive Technologies in indonesia.the Consultant is Expected to Conduct Detailed Planning; Coordinate with Multi-Stakeholders at a Local Level including Inclusive Education Experts; Stakeholders; And Health Workers; Develop and Practice Parental Education Sessions; And Monitor and Evaluate Program Implementation in Indonesia. The Wbg Reserves the Right to Publicly Disclose Contract Award Information, including but not Limited to, Name of Company Receiving the Award, Brief Description of Services, and Contract Award Amount, for Any Contract Award Valued over Us$250,000.
