- Expression of Interest are invited for Village Climate Action - Stock take and Technical Assessment. Publication Date: 4/7/2024 12:00 AM EDT EOI Deadline: 4/22/2024 11:59 PM EDT Description: The Social Sustainability and Inclusion team seeks an expert Consultant/consulting firm to provide gender and social inclusion-informed analysis in support of the design of a national program to promote village-level climate action through existing village planning and budgeting systems. The objective of the activities are to provide the World Bank and Government of Indonesia with an improved framework for village climate action (using village development funds) to guide policy and investment conditions. This includes assessing village-level capacity and financing gaps for local initiatives to address climate risks. Specifically, the Consulting firm will undertake a stock take of village-level climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives suitable for public financing, assess technical and institutional constraints to scaling up investment (including social and environmental risks to be addressed) and provide approximations of the costs of inputs and technical assistance required for effective implementation of local climate mitigation and adaptation projects.
